Art Director

Social Art DirectorOur client, a prominent beauty brand, is looking for a Social Art Director on a freelance basis. This role is onsite in NYC 4x/week, and reports to VP Creative.Responsibilities - Lead concept ideation and visualization for social campaigns across platforms - Drive visual research and trend interpretation across photography, video and social to maintain and grow platform engagement - Collaborate with the production team to build shoot schedules, run-of-show documents and casting summaries - Manage and mentor graphic designers, content creators, video editors and retouchers - Support the Creative Director and campaign Art Directors on secondary sets; oversee campaign and evergreen social and digital needs - Manage social capture sets for on-figure, still-life and video - Oversee retouching and video post-production in partnership with the team to uphold high standards across all platformsQualifications - Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications or a related field — or equivalent professional experience - 8+ years of art direction experience, with significant time in beauty, fashion or lifestyle brands - Proven track record concepting and executing social-first creative across social media channels - Experience managing and directing creative teams including designers, editors and retouchers - Strong on-set experience managing social capture for both still and videoPlease submit your resume for consideration!We will consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
