Licensed Practical Nurse - Twin Lakes

Bring your nursing skills to a role where your care can truly make an impact! As an LPN , you'll support individuals working toward recovery from alcohol and substance use while collaborating closely with a dedicated health care team. You'll apply your nursing knowledge, experience, and clinical judgment to provide focused assessments and assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other licensed provider. Care is provided in accordance with UPMC LPN Practice Guidelines, policies, and State Board regulations. With 41 beds currently being filled and capacity for up to 65 individuals, this is a great opportunity to join a growing program and help create a supportive environment for recovery. Psych experience is welcomed but not required.

Key Information

• Schedule : 6pm-6am, 1-2 weekends per month, with rotating holidays. No travel or on call required.
• Location : 224 Twin Lake Road, 15501
• Dress Code : Scrubs required. Opportunity for dress down Fridays.
• Parking : Free, on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care using sound judgment, focused assessments, and established LPN competencies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and seek guidance when patient needs exceed LPN scope, skills, or abilities, or when a patient’s condition changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote patient safety, quality, satisfaction, and compassionate care.
• Educate patients and families throughout care and transitions while supporting continuous learning and quality improvement.
• Build positive working relationships, demonstrate accountability and cultural awareness, and communicate workplace safety concerns.
• Follow established policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and the State Practice Act while developing patient-centered goals and plans of care.
