The President and Executive Officer is mission-driven, with the ability to grow and scale an organization for long-term success. • Provide strategic leadership of Minnesota Community Care to fulfill its mission of strengthening our community by providing healthcare for all
• Innovate, adapt and drive emerging care models and services in the dynamic healthcare market and ecosystem
• Build relationships and provide leadership to practice/solution leaders within OAS. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team to ensure peak performance
• Drive long-term strategy, revenue growth, and organizational sustainability to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality, accessible, and financially responsible healthcare services in alignment with the mission and goals of the federally qualified health center
• Balance leadership responsibilities while remaining market facing and spending 50%+ of time in community advocacy, policy reform, and social justice areas of influence; regularly meet with community leaders, lawmakers, social justice networks, tribal leaders, community members and system partners to facilitate cross-system collaboration and identify opportunities to meet health and wellness needs for all
• Demonstrate servant leadership, with proven skills in engaging, leading and developing strong leaders
• Demonstrate creativity, humility, and creative spirit with the vision and courage to challenge the status quo yet also create scalable, standardized consultancy offerings
• Work to recruit, retain and develop a talented and eminent leveraged workforce with a high level of employee engagement
• Create a diverse, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies
• Serve in an advisory role to lawmakers, partners and community organizations on business strategy, operational effectiveness, and healthcare best practices
• Expand services and leverage personal network to identify new partnerships and ways to address total health and wellness needs of our diverse community
• Demonstrate leadership in the ability to cultivate internal and external relationships

• Organizational & Entrepreneurial Leadership: Inclusive leader with a track record of setting clear vision and direction to successfully scale organizations through growth and evolution. Experience growing an organization or program model. Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and ability to lead and learn courageously in the face of challenges. Proven ability to engage, align, and develop teams around a vision and expertly manage change.
• Relationship Building, Collaboration & Development: Ability to manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of leaders within a growing organization while also prioritizing the development of sustainable, self-care practices among team members and fellows. Proven ability to build authentic, deep, and abiding relationships across multiple networks and lines of difference. Track record of building relationships with donors, supporters, stakeholders, and Boards of Directors.
• Fundraising & Financial Management Abilities: Proven ability to build an enduring and evolving donor and supporter base, of both institutions and individuals. Capable of designing, implementing and supporting financially sustainable programs, business models, and complex budgets.
• Leadership within the Healthcare Ecosystem: Understanding of and experience in an healthcare-related setting; specific understanding of the history and current healthcare landscape, including professional networks in Twin Cities metro and surrounding areas highly preferred.

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to perform computer-related work. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus are necessary
• Occasionally lift to 40 pounds (storage boxes)

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field
• 10+ years in Executive Leadership role in nonprofit, government, or healthcare industry
• Extensive experience in contracting, strategic planning and development
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%
