Veterinary Technician

Position Overview Companion Animal Dental Services are seeking a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Bolton, CT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for companion animal dentistry and drive for personal growth in a low-volume high-quality referral setting. We have a four-day work week with shifts of about 10 hours a day. Key Responsibilities Perform oral exams, catheter placement, intubation, and anesthesia recovery. Perform dental radiography, oral photography, dental charting, dental scaling and polishing, and local blocks (training provided). Collect samples for laboratory testing such as blood. Maintain the surgical suite, care for surgical instruments, keep materials stocked, assist with controlled substance logs, and maintain general clinic orderliness. Lead by example with professionalism, communication, and patient advocacy. Qualifications Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not mandatory. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a small animal veterinary setting. Proficiency in anesthesia, dental radiographs, nursing skills, and client communication. Passion for team training and delivering exceptional patient care.
