Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state of New Jersey
- Prior experience providing instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- In-depth knowledge of various types of disabilities and individualized education program (IEP) implementation
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents, fellow educators, and support staff
- Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials to meet students’ unique needs
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
- Deliver engaging instruction using evidence-based special education techniques
- Assess students’ progress and provide timely reports to parents and administration
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for optimal learning
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district, state, and federal regulations
