Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans using evidence-based practices for clients experiencing mental health challenges.

• Lead consultations and participate in the crafting of pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, and risk assessments that prioritize client safety and well-being.

• Complete all necessary documentation promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to quality patient care.

• Implement evidence-based screening tools as determined by the clinical team, enhancing assessment reliability and treatment efficacy.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive positive behavior support plans that empower clients.
\n
• Participate actively in all accreditation and licensing processes, demonstrating a commitment to upholding our quality of care.
\n
• Serve as a liaison to various service systems, state agencies, and community partners, working to provide integrated care for clients.
\n
• Foster strong communication channels within the organization, as well as with external stakeholders, to promote program efficacy and community outreach.

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with local and state agencies, identifying opportunities for partnerships and funding to enhance our service offerings.

• Commit to personal and professional development by participating in conferences and community meetings to remain at the forefront of best practices in mental health care.

• Support and embody the agency’s mission, values, and principles through every client interaction and organizational activity.

• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Clinic Director to further the mission of the Shelby County Counseling Center.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field.

• A valid, independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license is required.
