Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to address a variety of psychological concerns.

• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to optimize their therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to develop comprehensive intervention plans tailored to client needs.

• Provide follow-up support for clients admitted to hospital care, ensuring continuity of care through communication with attending physicians.

• Identify behaviors that may impede the recovery of clients and work proactively to prevent relapse through therapeutic strategies.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, equipping them with the tools necessary to assist their loved ones effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve a varied patient population, including individuals, couples, and families facing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will employ a client-centered approach, tailoring your interventions to reflect the unique circumstances and goals of each individual you serve.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active New York state Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• A Master’s degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated experience as a Mental Health Counselor or in a similar mental health role, exhibiting a strong grasp of counseling techniques and frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of the pharmacological approaches commonly prescribed by medical professionals, alongside their psychological implications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey empathetic understanding and facilitate effective client interactions.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by an empathetic nature and the ability to create a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $101,000, commensurate with experience and productivity. Additionally, you will benefit from:
