Intervention Specialist

Role Description The Intervention Specialist is a part-time on‑site role based at Cleveland Montessori. This role focuses on supporting students with academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional needs through individualized and small‑group interventions. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assessing student needs, developing and implementing intervention plans, and monitoring progress through data collection and regular communication with classroom teachers. The Intervention Specialist collaborates with families, school leadership, and related service providers to ensure coordinated support and appropriate accommodations. Additional responsibilities include documenting services, participating in meetings, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with Montessori philosophy. Qualifications Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Psychology and Education to understand student development and learning processes. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues. Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education, psychology, or a related field. Appropriate state licensure or certification as an Intervention Specialist (or eligibility to obtain it). Experience working in school settings, preferably with diverse learners or within Montessori or student‑centered environments. Ability to collect and interpret data, maintain accurate documentation, and manage multiple cases effectively.
