Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to assist our Sous Chef and Executive Chef with daily culinary operations. In this role, you will help prepare and serve à la carte lunch and dinner menus, as well as execute high-volume banquet functions for member events.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare recipes to exact club standards; assist with scratch preparation of soups, sauces, meats, and seafood.
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam variety dishes; prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, and cutting.
• Monitor food temperatures, taste and test dishes for quality, and maintain strict sanitation standards across all food preparation and storage areas.
• Cover, date, and rotate food inventory daily to manage portion control, freshness, and eliminate waste.
• Pay precise attention to member names, special requests, severe allergies, and dietary restrictions.
• Help create daily specials, communicate inventory or equipment shortages to chefs, and assist in preparing family meals for staff.
• Safely operate and transport food items across the grounds using a golf cart.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Culinary Arts and/or 2 years of related kitchen experience is preferred.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a valid, verifiable work permit.
• Access to a reliable form of transportation.
• Active listening, time management, critical thinking, stress tolerance, and a strong team-player mentality.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk constantly, and regularly bend, stoop, squat, and climb.
• Ability to frequently lift 15–20 pounds and occasionally lift over 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in variable kitchen temperatures (hot, cold, humid) as well as outdoor event environments across changing weather conditions.
