RNs need to have a mandatory competency with phlebotomy as well as placing IVs as this is a required skill for any RN at Unity. BLS Required MS/Tele Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Peripheral Line Care/Management Respiratory: Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions Patient Diagnoses: Cardiovascular, Wounds Special Procedures/Unit Details: Day/Eve ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8 -10 if staff calls in). Rapid response team activation. 1 year of recent experience -We have PCT's on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKG's and any sort of activity of daily living Special Equipment: Hoyer lifts, wound vac Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) They will try but not guaranteed Float Required: MS, ICU, ED. If staff float to ICU or ED it is to care for Med/Surg level patients or be helping hands. Will not practice outside of scope Years of Experience Required: 1 year First time travelers accepted Every other weekend required EPIC is preferred Pending License accepted: (Y/N) No RTO Restrictions: Please keep RTO close to 1 week Locals accepted: (Y/N) What is the local radius rule? No locals (75 miles) Scrubs: Navy blue/white Orientation: 4 hours. Modules prior to starting, 4 hour classroom with Educator, rest of the 12 hour shift is spent orienting on the unit.
