About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** August 30, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or night shift available; every other weekend required; 4:1 patient ratio at grid, 5:1 when stretched**Highlights:** - Work in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care- Day shift grid: 2 Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC; Night shift grid: 2 Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC- Utilize Cerner EMR and equipment including IV pumps, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts- Perform specialized procedures such as neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube management, and blood transfusions- Floating to stepdown and medical-surgical units as needed- Navy blue scrubs required**Requirements:** - Current North Carolina RN license or multistate compact license- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required- Neuro and trauma care experience strongly preferred- Experience with procedures including chest tube management, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions- Team-oriented, patient-focused professional with progressive care experience**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** Join a well-staffed progressive care team dedicated to providing specialized neuro and trauma care in a supportive environment.
