Payroll Analyst - Higher Education Payroll & Data Quality

Payroll Analyst Position summary: The Payroll Analyst works within a customer‑focused team that oversees and processes the University of Georgia (UGA) payroll, which includes approximately 25,500 W‑2s. Responsibilities include preparing biweekly and monthly payrolls, resolving payroll queries, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring accurate payroll data throughout the organization. Responsibilities Run and analyze queries and reports to process biweekly and monthly payrolls. Identify and resolve payroll errors before final confirmation, notifying distributed departments of corrections. Assist the Senior Financial Accountant with the retropay and overpayment processing for biweekly payrolls. Research and answer queries from distributed departments using Team Dynamix and ServiceNow ticketing systems. Assist with troubleshooting time‑clock issues campus‑wide. Run reports and queries to monitor Time Reporter data, ensuring employees are correctly set up in OneUSG Connect and proactively comparing data with job data to prevent payroll errors. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in higher education is a plus. Experience with PeopleSoft–based HCM software or other HRMS programs. Experience processing payroll in higher education settings. Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer‑service orientation. Ability to handle highly confidential information and meet strict production deadlines. Other Information Posting number: S15149P.
