As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.69 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Tue: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Fri: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Sat: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Sun: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns. Monitor access points and observe campus activity, assisting with access control procedures and directing visitors to appropriate locations when needed. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Guard Card/License is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
