If you're as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Managing Director, ECC Contracts (Federal) to join our Enterprise Contracting Center Federal Contracts Team.Responsibilities:Design and execute a service-centric delivery model for federal contracting, overseeing the end-to-end contracting lifecycle from pre-award strategy to post-award closeout, ensuring rapid response times and mission alignmentPartner with senior federal practice leaders and business development to align contracting capacity with capture strategies and pipeline growth; manage resource allocation via a robust KPI and SLA framework to optimize velocity and cost-efficiency Architect and maintain a unified federal contracting framework - including FAR/DFARS compliance policies, templates, negotiation playbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline the procurement lifecycle and safeguard firm interestsServe as the central operational liaison between federal practice leaders and the Office of General Counsel (OGC), translating complex statutory/regulatory requirements into practical, business-friendly contracting guidance that accelerates proposal and deal velocityLead and scale a high-performing, multi-tiered contracting organization, driving talent development, strategic resource allocation, and a culture of continuous improvement; lead the organizational adoption and everyday execution of advanced contracting technologies, CLM systems, and AI tools to optimize delivery, data integrity, and operational scaleAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentQualifications:Minimum fifteen years (with a minimum five years in a senior leadership capacity) of recent extensive progressive experience in federal contract management, procurement policy, and compliance, preferably within a major federal systems integrator, the federal practice of a Big 4 or management consulting firm, or a leading aerospace and defense contractorMaster's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is requiredCombine superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate at the executive-to-executive level, driving collaboration, consensus, and strategic alignment across internal partners, practice leaders, and external Federal Sector clients; professional certifications: National Contract Management Association (NCMA) certifications, such as Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), are highly preferredDeep familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, AI-assisted contract review systems, and data-driven operational reportingDemonstrated track record of subject matter expertise in FAR/DFARS, CAS, and GSA requirements, including extensive experience serving as a designated lead for Government audits, leading complex federal negotiations, and maintaining regulatory compliance integrityApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)KPMG LLP and its subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
