Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
8-hour Days - Weekend, holiday, and call required

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Requirements
- Current NYS RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
- Knowledge in the use of clinical equipment associated with an OR setting

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and assess patients' clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs.
- Recognize safety issues and implement proper patient handling techniques.
- Function effectively in stressful situations and utilize problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team and may assume charge nurse responsibilities as required.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Compliance / Notes
On-call required with a response time of 30 minutes.
Weekend, holiday, and additional call coverage may be necessary.
