About the Position

# Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Kansas**Start Date:** September 2026 **Location:** Overland Park, Kansas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 48 hours guaranteed; self-scheduling with every third weekend rotation; day and night shifts available**Highlights:** - 25-bed Intensive Care Unit in a progressive medical center working toward Unit of Distinction recognition- 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with dedicated charge nurse and unit secretary support (7a-11p)- Open heart recovery with advanced procedures including CRRT, Impella, cardioversions, and bronchoscopy- GE monitoring systems and Alaris pump technology with MediTech documentation- Organization pursuing Pathway to Excellence designation- Strong collaborative teamwork environment with focus on patient-centered care using AIDET methodology**Requirements:** - Active RN license or eligibility to practice in Kansas- BLS and ACLS certification required- Critical care experience with strong assessment and communication skills- Neuro and trauma experience preferred- Adaptability to change and ability to float to telemetry or provide resource support to other units**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This ICU position offers nurses the opportunity to work with a diverse, complex patient population including open heart recovery and advanced critical care interventions.
