Sales Executive

As a leading provider of safety and communications solutions in the Northeast, we are looking for an ambitious Sales Executive to grow our corporate business in the New Jersey metro market. The right person will be a hunter, spending much of their time prospecting and opening doors into new markets. Sales Executive Eastern DataComm is seeking B2B Sales Executives for selling safety and communications solutions that include physical security (video surveillance and access control), unified communications, and emergency notification solutions. We are looking for ambitious and enthusiastic salespeople to prospect and bring in new business across a variety of markets – including, but not limited to, warehouses, manufacturers, law and accounting firms, financial firms, banks, contact centers and more. This is great sales opportunity for a salesperson looking to possibly change industries, who thrives in a small company, autonomous environment – an enthusiastic, ambitious and dedicated sales professionallooking to represent one of the premier technology firms in New Jersey. The right candidate will be responsible to manage their sales opportunities, prospect, strategize, negotiate, and close business. This position includes salary plus commission and benefits including Medical, Dental, Long Term Disability and 401K plans. Local candidates only. We work collaboratively with our customers to diagnose the real issues at the core of the challenges they face. In the process, we foster lasting client relationships and create safer schools, municipalities, and businesses by delivering cutting-edge, integration-ready technology solutions that holistically address their communications and security needs. With high satisfaction ratings from essentially all our customers, we solve our customers’ communication problems! Responsibilities: Consistently exceed assigned revenue and margin quota Develop high quality relationships with strategic partners (e.g. consultants, finders, referral partners, etc.) to uncover new sales opportunities. Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities Analyze, recommend, and provide appropriate solution sets to clients to build a strong reference base of clients that are highly satisfied. Facilitate the highest level of professionalism to build on-going relationships with your clients, partners, and internal staff. Approximately 25-40% travel to customers within the NY Metro area/all of NJ including Atlantic City for various industry trade shows and events Requirements: 5 plus years outside sales experience Self-motivated, high energy – ambitious! Work both independently and as a good team member Commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction Strong relationship building, and a proven track record of selling to end-users and business decision makers Engaging presentation and speaking skills along with solid writing and active listening skills High organizational skills Strong hunting skills and a demonstrated willingness to prospect for new business. Consistent sales performer with an emphasis on the ability to manage complex sales cycles and orchestrate resources to obtain results. Proven track record of exceeding quota in a direct consultative sales role. The ideal candidate would possess the following: Consultative sales experience – Business to Business background, preferably Technology experience ideal but not required – we are definitely open to “go-getter” personalities who are looking to change industries! Direct experience discussing ROI and TCO based approaches with clients. Demonstrated competence as a trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs, IT management and Business managers.
