Welder 2nd Shift

Welder: Montgomery, Illinois

Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Welders to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of non-code welding operations to repair and restore metal cast parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Welder:

• Perform non-code arc and gas welding to reclaim and repair brass, bronze, and iron cast parts.
• Perform inert gas shielded welding on steel as needed.
• Operate cut-off saws and perform grinding, sanding, and deburring of parts.
• Follow work orders, procedures, and instructions to complete welding tasks.
• Select appropriate rod tips, adjust flame, and gas pressure for welding operations.
• Build up and shape damaged castings through welding processes.
• Pre-heat castings when required.
• Manufacture specialty brass or bronze welding rods.
• Follow process sheets to complete cutting, grinding, sanding, and finishing tasks.

Welder Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work procedures.
• Basic welding experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work.
• Ability to lift and handle materials as required.
• Steel-toed shoes required.
• Long-sleeve cotton shirt required.
• Jeans required.

Pay for Welder: $20.00/hour.
