Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You bring their power back by implementing occupational therapy programs and activities, following developed recovery plans, and delivering therapy treatments. You address the whole patient and serve them as an individual, executing a program that restores, reinforces, and enhances their physical abilities and independence. You adapt to patient needs, enjoy the variety of tasks, work collaboratively with peers, and refer patients when appropriate. You put patients first, ensuring the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
