716 Details is a growing automotive appearance and protection shop located in Buffalo, NY. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Vinyl Wrap Installer to join our team as we continue expanding our vinyl wrap services.

This position is intended for someone with professional automotive vinyl installation experience who can produce clean, consistent work on customer vehicles. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling full and partial wraps independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install full color-change vehicle wraps
• Complete partial wraps and individual panel installations
• Perform chrome deletes and exterior trim wrapping
• Wrap hoods, roofs, trunks, spoilers, mirrors and other components
• Install vinyl on bumpers, curves, recessed areas and complex body panels
• Properly clean and prepare vehicle surfaces before installation
• Properly stretch, heat and conform automotive vinyl
• Perform proper post-heating according to film requirements
• Produce clean edges, corners, seams and tucked finishes
• Safely trim vinyl around painted vehicle surfaces
• Remove existing vinyl and adhesive when necessary
• Perform appropriate vehicle disassembly and reassembly for professional installations
• Identify and correct lifting, bubbling, overstretching and other installation issues
• Inspect completed vehicles before customer delivery
• Maintain a clean and organized installation environment
• Properly care for customer vehicles, tools and shop equipment

Qualifications:

• Previous professional automotive vinyl wrap installation experience
• Experience completing full color-change wraps strongly preferred
• Ability to independently wrap common automotive panels
• Experience wrapping difficult areas including bumpers, mirrors, curves and recesses
• Understanding of proper film stretching, heating and post-heating techniques
• Strong knife control and ability to safely trim around painted surfaces
• Understanding of proper edge, corner and seam finishing
• Experience with basic vehicle disassembly/reassembly preferred
• Familiarity with professional automotive films such as 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF, ORAFOL or similar products
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing installation quality
• Dependable, punctual and professional
• Reliable transportation

Compensation: $25–$32/hour depending on professional experience, installation quality, efficiency and demonstrated ability.
