Role Overview
Apply your M&A legal experience to help train, evaluate, and improve AI systems used for contract review and negotiation. This remote, part-time contractor role focuses on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining technology-sector agreements, with work that strengthens AI risk identification, contract interpretation, precision, and legal judgment.
Key Responsibilities
Complete simulated contract negotiation and redlining exercises.
Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, delivering expert feedback that improves model performance and output quality.
Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI tasks.
Work with product and research teams to refine training data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-supported contract review.
Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
At least 2 years of experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm.
Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including asset purchase agreements and stock purchase agreements.
Experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and redlining, particularly within the technology field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems and collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
Experience working with private equity firms.
Work Terms
Remote, part-time independent contractor engagement.
Work is task-based. Each task has an average handling time of approximately 3.5 hours and must meet project specifications for sign-off.
Compensation
Compensation is task-based, with an advertised rate of $90 to $130 per hour.
Effective hourly earnings depend on the number of completed tasks that are successfully signed off.
