Overview Speech Language Pathologist / SLP - Home Health Job Locations: US-KY-LEXINGTON Company: Adoration Home Health and Hospice Position Type: Part-Time ID: View phone number on click.appcast.io Line of Business: Adoration Home Health and Hospice Office Location: Lexington, KY Coverage area: 16 surrounding counties Schedule: Part-Time Responsibilities As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, you will: Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services. Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices. Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability. Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions. Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting the patient\'s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy. Qualifications Minimum of Master\'s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program. A minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist. Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state in which practicing.
