Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities, limitations, and treatment needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their condition.
• Monitor and document patient progress consistently, using evidence-based methods to adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal recovery.
• Collaborate actively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to develop a comprehensive care approach that addresses all aspects of patient health.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term physical health and wellness.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans focusing on improving strength, mobility, and functional independence tailored specifically to the needs of each patient.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities to manage and alleviate physical impairments.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as professional standards within the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse orthopedic patient population, which includes individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Many patients are motivated to regain their pre-injury levels of function or improve their quality of life following a significant health event. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding patients through tailored rehab programs that empower them to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; a Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy settings, with a preference for those experienced in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, offering an annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
