Medical Assistant
Guilford, CT
Hours:

• 8:00a – 5:30/6p
  • 7:20a – 6p once per week

Responsibilities:

• Accompany patients to exam rooms, take vitals (blood pressure, height, weight), and prepare them for examinations or procedures
• Perform designated testing (e.g., EKG, pulse oximetry, spirometry) and specimen collection or phlebotomy where applicable
• Accurately document comprehensive medical, surgical, family, and social histories, along with current medications and problem lists in Epic
• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with various medical exams and specialized procedures
• Efficiently manage your Epic in-basket, return patient calls promptly, and coordinate the transfer of medical records
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms, instruments, and equipment between patients, and properly maintain and document sterilizer usage
• Cross-train to handle reception duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and scanning medical records
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of practice policies, OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Diploma
• Medical assisting experience (1+ years)
• Manual BP, EKG, and POCT proficiency
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Internal Medicine experience preferred

Compensation:

• $20-25/hr

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
