Surgery Coordinator

Administrative Support Provide administrative support to include office management, assistance in scheduling division meetings, monthly staff meetings, assist in answering calls, taking and relaying messages, filing, faxing, copying, and email notifications. Assist with management of all surgery faculty administrative calendars. Submit all IT service requests as needed with back up approvals from chair and/or administrator. Daily assistance of general administrative responsibilities for the general surgery office. Assist with departmental projects as indicated. Assist with patient satisfaction program with follow-up correspondence to referring physicians. Assistance in obtaining letters of medical necessity and general follow-up letters for patients. Interact with Call Center Team and departmental clinic supervisor(s) to approve overbooking to providers clinic templates. Providing support in aspects of scheduling, rescheduling or canceling patient clinic appointments. Import attending on call schedule onto Outlook and phone notifications. Liaison for patient navigation to confirm OR procedure appointments, clinic appointments and other navigational tasks. Assists with patient telephone "check-ins" to ensure patients are preparing for upcoming elective surgeries. Assist with creation of check request for the department. Departmental liaison other internal departments of the hospital.
