Job Description:

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to business users through a combination of remote support and occasional on-site service. This role is a great fit for an IT professional with 1–3 years of experience who wants to continue developing their skills across desktop support, Microsoft 365, networking, hardware, and systems.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, enjoys troubleshooting problems, and is comfortable learning new technologies. You will work alongside experienced IT professionals while gaining exposure to more advanced technical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day technical support for users experiencing hardware, software, email, printing, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 computers, Microsoft 365 applications, peripherals, and other common business technology.
• Assist with computer and equipment installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting at client locations.
• Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recommendations in the appropriate ticketing system.
• Escalate more complex technical issues to senior technicians with detailed notes on troubleshooting already completed.
• Maintain accurate service tickets, time entries, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with software providers, internet service providers, hardware manufacturers, and other vendors when necessary.
• Support senior technicians with larger IT projects and continue developing networking and systems administration skills.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related technical role.
• Relevant internships, military IT training, coursework, certifications, or hands-on projects may be considered.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with Windows operating systems and PC hardware.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Self-motivated and willing to research solutions when encountering unfamiliar problems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel.
• Ability to pass a standard background check.

Additional Details:

• Position includes both remote technical support and local client visits.
• Occasional after-hours support may be required as part of a shared team rotation.
• Mileage for approved business travel is reimbursed at the applicable IRS rate.

• The role may occasionally require lifting equipment up to 40 lbs., working underneath desks, and using a step stool or short ladder.
