Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Seeking a Cardiology Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a critical access hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt seamlessly to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for accurate documentation.
• Administer medications via PYXIS system and monitor invasive and non-invasive vital signs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans and ensure safe transfers.
• Manage ventilators and cardiac monitors, responding promptly to any alarms or patient needs.
• Support emergency protocols such as Code 99, Rapid Response, and Fall response as part of the small but capable team.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid nursing license with at least 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience.
• Demonstrate recent EPIC EMR competence within the past 2 years.
• Possess current AHA BLS, ACLS certifications, and NIHSS certification prior to start.
• Have prior travel nurse experience and reliable transportation.
• Be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility as needed.
