About This Team

The Product Management function is a key part of the Order Management System Engineering & Platform Team under Global Omni/Order Management System. This team works to create features which help build a strong foundation, to drive best-in-class Global Order Management System/OMNI experiences for our store teams and customers, working closely in partnership with Technology and business stakeholders. Our mission is to support guests in getting the product they want, wherever they want, and as fast as they want by driving a seamless, optimized experience inclusive of operations, store support, and technology.

A Day In The Life: What You’ll Do

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for core Order Management System Engineering capabilities within global Order Management System/OMNI. Outside of Order Management System engineering capabilities this team supports enterprise engineering practices roadmap Initiatives and is a key partner for overall global Order Management System program success. A day in the life as a product manager would look like:

• Define features & map them to opportunities based on their scope with medium support
• Feature prioritization & sequencing for small to midsize product or projects
• Responsible for sizing features in collaboration with key partners from technology and business teams
• Define high level requirements, in accordance with an agreed upon structure with minimal support for small to midsize products or projects
• Define Epics & User Stories keeping in mind the hierarchy of work and work products
• Define metrics for features and map these to organization’s KPIs / OKRs
• Assess performance of work output and identify the need to adjust plans and replan work for small to midsize products or projects
• Input into & documents cross functional communication material
• Input into roadmap & planning communication material for small to midsize product or projects

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical requirements for cloud-based products and features.

Leverage your expertise in AWS cloud services to design and architect solutions that meet both technical and business objectives.

Transform technical requirements into well-defined user stories, epics, and tasks that can be easily understood and executed by cloud engineering teams.

Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on product requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Maintain a clear product backlog with detailed user stories, technical tasks, and acceptance criteria for efficient sprint planning and execution.

Provide guidance to cloud engineers throughout the development lifecycle, addressing questions and clarifying requirements as needed.

Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively work with teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with QA and testing teams to ensure high-quality delivery of cloud solutions.

Participate in sprint reviews and product demos, presenting the technical aspects of the product to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Product Vision: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, industry trends, and customer needs related to order management platforms. Define a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with company goals.

Roadmap Creation: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, enhancements, and technical improvements. Create and maintain a detailed and well-structured product roadmap that outlines short-term and long-term goals.

User Stories and Requirements: Create detailed user stories, use cases, and requirements for new features and improvements. Ensure that these artifacts are clear, concise, and actionable for the development team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to translate requirements into development tasks. Provide ongoing clarifications and support during the development lifecycle.

Agile Development: Embrace agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other agile ceremonies. Ensure that development efforts are aligned with the product roadmap and priorities.

Release Management: Coordinate and manage the release process, including feature testing, quality assurance, and deployment. Ensure that releases are timely and meet quality standards.

User Experience: Champion user-centered design principles and collaborate with the design team to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Continuously gather user feedback to drive iterative improvements.

Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about the competitive landscape and industry best practices. Identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation within the order management platform space.

Performance Analytics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the platform. Regularly analyze data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders, including executives, clients, and internal teams. Provide regular updates on the product roadmap and progress.

Modernization Strategy: Develop an in-depth understanding of our existing Order Management Platform and associated workflows. Craft a clear and visionary modernization strategy that aligns with both company objectives and industry trends.

Innovative Solutions: Collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to ideate and implement cutting-edge solutions, leveraging modern technologies to enhance our Order Management Platform.

Data Transformation: Oversee the transformation and migration of critical data from legacy systems to the modernized platform, ensuring the integrity and continuity of operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of digital product management experience with an emphasis on delivering back-end or internal employee facing applications. Up to 5 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of product management experience

A minimum BA/BS degree from a four-year accredited university (advanced degree preferred).

Experience in the digital, retail, order management system preferred

Skilled in creating and communicating the global Order Management System product strategy and roadmap

Experienced in leading ideation, opportunity assessment, and launch of digital products that enable customers to have a frictionless experience

Comfortable in leading with the "Why" and constantly driving transparency as well as collaboration across stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment

Experienced in translating roadmap into digestible EPICs with clear feature prioritization

Ability to critically assess existing capabilities to understand build vs. buy approach

Ability to deeply understand consumer needs and trends, uncovering business value in a quantifiable manner

Strong core consulting skills (demonstrated track record of quality delivery, interpersonal and cross-functional relationship skills). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering executive-level presentations and driving stakeholder alignment

The ability to drive results independently but thrive in collaborative environments

A deep desire to learn and improve by seeking, accepting, and acting on productive feedback

A desire and ability to learn quickly and work in an agile environment

Demonstrated leadership, visionary, clarity of purpose, motivated, relentless execution
