Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired. In this dynamic, full-time, contract position, you’ll deliver top-notch virtual instruction and support for students with visual impairments throughout the academic year. Spanning from August 3rd, 2026, to May 21st, 2027, this role is well-suited for education professionals comfortable with a variety of age groups and eager to tailor their expertise to student needs.

As a valued education professional, you’ll collaborate closely with school personnel, ensuring service documentation is completed daily. There’s flexibility in determining your precise caseload, as the school will consider your preferences and strengths during the interview process.

Key qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Proven experience providing virtual TVI support in schools
  • Confidence documenting services via daily logs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and student ages

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized virtual instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Working collaboratively with families, teachers, and support staff
  • Maintaining thorough service documentation daily
  • Participating in meetings, IEP processes, and planning as needed
  • Adjusting approaches to maximize student access and participation
