Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired through a full-time virtual role running from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with potential pre- and post-planning days. You'll collaborate virtually with educators and families to develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' needs. Placement within age groupings will depend on your experience and preferences, determined collaboratively during the interview process.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Demonstrated experience providing virtual instruction as a TVI within school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable utilizing digital tools and maintaining thorough documentation
- Commitment to completing daily logs as part of service records
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and consultation to visually impaired students within a virtual environment
- Develop and adapt learning materials and supports to foster educational access
- Work closely with school teams and families to ensure students’ IEP goals are addressed
- Engage in pre/post-planning as required for effective service delivery
- Maintain accurate and timely daily logs of student services
