Staff Accountant

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in HONOLULU, Hawaii. The selected candidate will be involved in various accounting operations within the industry, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, Journal Entries, and Month End Close. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities: • Oversee the process of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate and timely payment and invoicing• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date• Prepare journal entries, documenting business transactions systematically• Conduct month-end close processes efficiently and accurately• Assist in the preparation and management of budgets• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports for decision-making processes• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements• Collaborate with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
