JOB DESCRIPTION

Acceleration is seeking a NYC-based PR / Media Relations professional with 5+ years of experience to help lead a marquee beverage account portfolio with a variety of social, music/entertainment, sports, and lifestyle extensions/campaigns.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead real-time, "culture-first" inspired PR planning and creative ideation for mass brand beverage clients,
• Serve as a main liaison with brand client and multiple IAT teams,
• Manage day-to-day workflow of account team including mid-level and junior staff
• Ensure the account team is maximizing PR strategy/media outreach to deliver positive and impactful results for client
• Oversee planning and execution of PR campaigns, Including developing press materials, telling the most cohesive and compelling story for the brand (releases, talking points, etc.), and national/regional press outreach
• Support internal creative ideation sessions to deliver impactful culture-forward moments for the brand to leverage

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Direct Supervisor: This role reports into the Senior Vice President

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill set:

• BA or BS Degree
• 5+ years of public relations experience
• Prior agency experience, ideally strong consumer brand background
• Experience overseeing workstream flow and delegation, Including managing direct report(s)
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of delivering message-rich media placements across consumer, sports, and marketing trade press
• Knowledge of the food & beverage and CPG category press landscape,
• Experience building PR strategies and creative ideas that meet both corporate and consumer objectives
• Experience with new and social media strategies and campaigns is a plus
• A proficient communicator and leader and close relationships with top-tier media and influencers
• Experience working with celebrities and industry experts
• Proficient communicator, highly organized and detail oriented, keen sense of culture (music, movies, entertainment, social trends)
