Accountant

Job Title: Accountant - Fixed Assets and General Accounting Department: Accounting and Taxation Supervisor: Director of Accounting and Taxation Job Expectations and Duties: Maintain Fixed Asset Accounting system - this includes additions, retirements and adjustments Reconcile Fixed Asset Accounting system to master accounts in general ledger of accounting system Cost Segregation Studies to build depreciation schedules from Job Cost Department reports Understand capitalization and expensing rules as applied to tax cost allocation of newly constructed, renovated, reimaged or repaired capital projects. Prepare hotel and divisional maintenance billings and prepare intercompany transfer entries as needed Generate fixed asset reports for various users (tax/accounting/legal/etc) on routine basis or as requested Assist at year end with general ledger closing and preparation for financial audit Provide routine and special fixed asset reporting for annual financial audit Assist in annual budgeting process by preparing fixed asset depreciation projection reports Assist in month end general ledger closing by completing various reconciliation reports and procedures Assist in preparing various schedules for Federal and State tax returns. Be prepared to assist in various special projects as directed by your supervisor Work with management and personnel of various departments to accomplish all job requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) #J-18808-Ljbffr Drury Southwest, Inc.
