Research Resources Coordinator, Research Laboratories

Work Location: Orange, California Work Shift: Day – 08hrs (United States of America) Job Summary The Research Resources Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of safety, facilities, and equipment for the Research Institute. Responsibilities Maintain inventory of equipment within the Research Institute Coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment and work with vendors to obtain quotes and schedule new equipment demos Provide safety training to new associates and conduct preventative drills to protect personnel Analyze and resolve operational problems of moderate scope related to facilities, equipment, and safety Assist the Research Administration Team with a variety of projects and tasks as necessary Salary Pay Range: Minimum $25.46, Midpoint $33.73, Maximum $42.01 per hour. Rate of pay is determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements. Qualifications Experience Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience in a research laboratory/healthcare facility. Driver’s License: Valid California license. Team and customer service experience. Preferred: Experience in a patient care setting with working knowledge of medical terminology. Preferred: Experience with Lawson purchasing, laboratory equipment, safety coordination, temperature monitoring systems (REES). Education Required: Associate’s degree from an accredited institution. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in facilities, emergency management, engineering or a related field. Training Required: None. Preferred: Training in process improvement, building safety/engineering, and facilities controls in a research setting. Specialized Skills Understanding of facilities operations, physical plant, safety and security, and fire protection systems. Knowledge of laboratory equipment and its function. Strong interpersonal, communication, and professional presentation skills. Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic equipment troubleshooting. Effective communication in English, in person, in writing, and over the telephone. Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities. Licensure None required.
