Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using established assessments and observational strategies.
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to achieve both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions specializing in communication, language development, fluency enhancement, voice modulation, and swallowing support.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure integrated care approaches.
• Facilitate educational opportunities for patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, following state, federal, and organizational guidelines diligently.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Licensure in the state of Kansas as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
