Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM; Alternate Saturdays, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM | 30 hours/week
Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization for patients visiting for routine healthcare services and important health-related testing.
The PSR II is responsible for accurately and safely collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and providing a professional and positive patient experience. The position requires excellent phlebotomy skills, strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate may work in a physician's office, Patient Service Center, or other assigned locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
Collect specimens from Pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients, including capillary collections.
Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient initials/signatures.
Ensure specimen tubes are properly labelled in the patient's presence and verify that all information is accurate.
Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.
Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Provide excellent customer service and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence for patients.
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, coworkers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume setting.
Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Travel between assigned Patient Service Centers and physician-office locations as required.
Support staffing needs, including schedule flexibility and coverage at multiple locations.
Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to service excellence.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience – Required.
Experience with Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections – Required.
Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
Ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Keyboarding and data-entry experience.
Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
