Staff RN, Pre-Op

Job Summary: Minimum 2 years hospital nursing experience; preferably in a critical care, pre‑/post‑operative, or endoscopy role. Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and may delegate tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The RN delivers professional nursing care, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients. Responsibilities Assessment/Diagnosis – performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning – documents planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve appropriate outcomes (30%). Implementation/Evaluation – evaluates and documents response to interventions, revising the plan of care as needed (20%). Leadership – actively participates in process improvement activities to meet clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%). Operations – focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency in all job duties (10%). Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required). Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State of Ohio and/or a multi‑state compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience, preferably in critical care, pre‑/post‑operative, or endoscopy settings.
