Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor – Hillside, IL, United States – req29104, 3rd Shift; 2nd Shift Responsibilities Ensure plant operations are performed safely and responsibly, maintaining full compliance with regulatory agencies and Linde policies. Schedule and coordinate cylinder gas production to meet customer demand, maintain adequate stock levels, and monitor raw material deliveries. Maintain the facility’s professional appearance, image, and security, while providing job training, supporting employee career development, and supervising personnel fairly to promote motivation and empowerment. Drive productivity initiatives to maximize plant capabilities and improve overall operational efficiency. Manage day-to-day employee activities, conduct thorough accident/incident investigations, and complete all required reports with accuracy and detail. Support the efficient distribution of products while maintaining professional interactions with internal and external customers. Respond to emergency calls, conduct monthly safety meetings, assist with SOP implementation, and monitor the proper usage of plant assets. Qualifications Bachelor of science preferred; high school diploma or GED required. At least two years of supervisory experience, or one to two years of cylinder processor‑lead experience preferred. Production or distribution experience required; industrial gas industry or equivalent experience preferred. In‑depth knowledge of cylinder gases and their processes. Familiarity with regulatory agencies including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes, and CU. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Benefits and Compensation Competitive compensation: $69,750 - $93,000.
