Pay Range: $65,513USD to $85,167 SUMMARY The Regional Manager provides sales leadership and operational oversight for an assigned region within the broader market, which may consist of multiple branches or a developing/emerging market. This role is responsible for executing market strategy at the regional level by driving business development, strengthening community relationships, and ensuring operational excellence while delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience. In partnership with the Market Executive and other business leaders, the Regional Manager supports and influences strategic direction for key policies, procedures, and programs. The role includes responsibility for the sound administration and quality of assigned operations and/or portfolio, with delegated authority to exercise discretion in certain transactional or operational exceptions in alignment with established guidelines. An ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with a proven track record in business development, relationship management, and team performance. They possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of banking operations, and the ability to adapt execution approaches to meet the unique needs of their region’s market. Through hands-on leadership, local market engagement, and a focus on team effectiveness, the Regional Manager drives performance within their region, supporting overall market and organizational success. - Engage with customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable products. Generate leads through community outreach and handle account openings and loan applications.
- Foster a sales-focused culture by providing comprehensive training to team members, ensuring they can sell and cross-sell products effectively. Lead a high-performing team by setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.
- Build and expand customer relationships by actively engaging in community activities, strengthening the bank’s presence in both established and developing markets as assigned, and generating new business opportunities.
- If applicable, establish and grow the bank’s presence in developing markets by identifying opportunities, building local partnerships, and adapting approaches to meet community needs.
- Safeguard portfolio and/or regional performance quality by actively monitoring performance and risk indicators, driving timely course-corrections, and ensuring sound administration.
- Supervise and mentor staff, offering guidance and support to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide consistent, constructive feedback to direct reports.
- Enforce disciplined underwriting by ensuring credit decisions align to loan policy, required controls, and regulatory expectations— exercising delegated approval authority for defined exceptions and escalating items beyond established limits.
- Build strong, consistent judgment in the region by coaching branch leadership and team members on credit standards, documentation quality, and early identification of emerging risk.
- Manage branch revenue and profitability by meeting growth objectives for deposits, loans, and customer acquisition. Identify cross-sell opportunities and coach staff to deepen customer relationships.
- Oversee daily operations across assigned locations, managing cash levels, supplies, and administrative tasks such as budgeting and handling delinquent accounts as needed.
- Ensure audit integrity and security by maintaining high standards of risk management and compliance with company policies. Provide necessary training to staff.
- Maintain a professional office image, ensuring the environment is welcoming and reflects the bank’s commitment to quality service.
- Assume responsibility for additional projects and tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
- A minimum of ten years of retail banking management experience required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Confident decision-making abilities and the skill to use sound judgment about the timing of choices; particularly the ability to make informed, responsible decisions with limited information or under considerable amounts of stress.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes with the adaptability to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
- A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of direct reports.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Mathematical proficiency and the ability to quickly and accurately complete standard calculations.
- Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and at other locations as needed.
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
