ChristianaCare's Hope Center seeking a professional, compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

ChristianaCare Hope Center is located at 365 Airport Road in New Castle, Delaware. The Hope Center is a specialized medical respite program and emergency shelter established in 2021. Located within the New Castle County Hope Center, it provides 36 beds for vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness. The program offers on-site medical care, behavioral health services, and comprehensive case management to support guests in stabilizing their health and transitioning toward long-term housing solutions.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 8:00am -4:30pm or 8:30am -5:00pm, rotational
• No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
