Legal Counsel: Transactional

Position Summary Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Legal Counsel for its Legal Transactions Group. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor/supplier and procurement contracts to support advanced semiconductor fabrication facilities across multiple sites. Role and Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as EPC, equipment supply, materials supply, services contracts, and confidentiality agreements. Advise management and internal clients on legal risks in transactional matters throughout the contract lifecycle. Manage routine legal processes, including task tracking, reporting, and collaboration with paralegal staff. Provide internal client education on legal changes affecting semiconductor fabrication facilities and related contracts. Continuously improve legal operations, including work processes, forms, software systems, policies, and guidebooks. Establish cross‑functional relationships to solve problems impacting multiple stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications JD degree with at least 5 years of relevant legal experience. Licensed to practice law in Texas, or eligible for in‑house practice in Texas. Detail oriented with good judgment, capable of managing multiple complex priorities with minimal supervision. Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, engineering, procurement, or construction management is a plus. Experience as both an in‑house attorney and at a major law firm is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The base salary range is $143,000 – $224,000, depending on duties, location, education, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include an incentive program based on organizational and individual performance.
