Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a  Sample Accessioning Technician  for  contract-to-hire (temp-to-permanent) position at a biotechnology client in  St. Louis, MO. Position Overview: The Sample Accessioning Technician will carry out essential administrative and organizational laboratory tasks related to diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, organize, aliquot, label, store, and inventory human blood, plasma samples, and other biological specimens.
• Verify the accuracy of client and specimen details.
• Support the sample accession manager in maintaining sample inventories.
• Assist lab management with routine tasks in a bioanalytical laboratory, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, maintaining inventories, and performing regular maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Aid laboratory personnel with cleaning duties.
• Follow all quality, privacy, and safety protocols in accordance with relevant regulatory agencies.

Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:

• Experience working with human biological specimens (e.g., blood).
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Required Qualifications/Education/Skills:

• Associate’s degree or higher in chemistry, biology, or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a research or clinical laboratory is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and database entry.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
• Knowledge of biosafety rules, policies, and procedures.

Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $22-$23 per hour
• Hours:
  • Tues-Sat shift, 8AM-5PM
  • Flexibility is needed for an earlier start when necessary
