This role is designed to enhance students' career readiness skills in preparation for their transition into the workforce. Responsibilities:
- Complete general lab upkeep and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in the laboratories.
- Support ongoing labs and instructors.
- Receive packages and inventory materials accordingly.
- Complete lab prep assignments from Biology Lab Coordinators.
- Regularly check in with supervisors for additional tasks.
- Participate in ongoing training and regular meetings with student managers.
- Train for class coordinator role.
- Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain meticulous records.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and part of a team.
- Must be a current full-time undergraduate student at Maryville University.
- Must be Federal Work-Study eligible (a US citizen that has filled out the FAFSA) and available to work during the academic year (August 25, 2025-May 1, 2026.)
- A science faculty recommendation for lab work is preferred unless applying as a freshman. If applicable, please submit a recommendation letter with your application.
- Must commit to at least 10 hours per week.
- Hourly pay rate: $15.00.
- Regular feedback will be provided, with a formal performance evaluation conducted in March.
