Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in medical-surgical/telemetry nursing License: Must have a valid state compact license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience in insulin administration, oral suctioning, colostomy/ileostomy management, and care for bowel obstruction patients. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The nurse will float between various units as necessary based on patient care needs. Weekends are required, with every other weekend being the standard expectation. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. It is essential for candidates to have a vehicle to fulfill the assignment requirements. Travelers should be adaptable and willing to float between different units and facilities. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a total of 418 staffed beds. Charting is conducted using a specified electronic medical record system. Nurses are expected to manage various procedures and treatments, including IV therapy, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring. Other duties include care for patients with complex medical needs and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. Candidates must be committed to maintaining a flexible schedule and willingness to work during holidays as specified in the contract.
