Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech position supporting an adult acute care operating room in a travel assignment. The role provides surgical technology support across a broad range of adult specialties, including bariatric, orthopedic, neurologic, otolaryngologic, gynecologic, general, colorectal, urologic, hepatobiliary, plastic, ophthalmic, vascular, thoracic, and endovascular procedures.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Surgical technologist certification or military training; Basic Life Support (BLS), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), and American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) certifications; at least 2 years of experience; prior travel experience; valid compact license in hand at submission; broad knowledge of surgical equipment.
• Schedule: Day shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend coverage is required. Weekday call and weekend call are required on a rotating basis.
• Additional Information: The position supports adult acute care operating room procedures, with an emphasis on advanced oncology surgical cases. Responsibilities may include assisting with general, orthopedic, podiatric, neurologic, otolaryngologic, oral and maxillofacial, gynecologic, colorectal, urologic, hepatobiliary, plastic, ophthalmic, vascular, thoracic, organ-harvesting, and endovascular procedures. Experience with robotic surgical systems, hybrid operating rooms, endovascular procedures, surgical scopes, fiber-optic equipment, aseptic technique, and a broad range of surgical equipment is relevant. Open-heart procedures and organ transplantation are not performed.
