Trauma Charge Nurse Team Lead - $36-58 per hour

Overview BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma Lead for a nursing job in Valley Park, Missouri. Specialty: Trauma Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Team Lead/Charge will support our 64/6500 Trauma Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses wanting to explore leadership. External candidates eligible for sign‑on bonus of $15,000. Responsibilities Facilitates identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into the ambulatory care setting. Critically assesses patient data to proactively mitigate impending changes in condition and establishes consults with the interprofessional team as appropriate. Leads the development and implementation of complex individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Utilizes and champions scientific inquiry for evidence‑based practices, including participation in journal clubs, facilitating practice change based on new knowledge, recommending new standards of care or revisions to current standards, and disseminating new knowledge obtained from conferences or continuing education. Explores opportunities to advance nursing practice, such as supporting community service health events, leading patient/family education groups, serving on the Ethics Advisory Committee, or participating in specialty organization leadership boards. Analyzes gaps in practice standards and provides feedback to peers in collaboration with leadership to enhance safe patient care. Leads the evaluation of the patient and family experience and adjusts care provided to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing. Experience: 2–5 years of nursing experience. Supervisor Experience: None required. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN license. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 5–10 years of nursing experience.
