Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Postpartum position requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and antepartum fetal monitoring skills for floating to L&D.
Details
- 32-bed Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Postpartum unit
- Rotating day and night shifts (4x12), with option for nights only
- Typical patient ratios of 1:3 couplets, up to 6 patients
- Caseload includes high-risk postpartum patients not requiring ICU-level care
- Newborn population includes late preterm, substance-exposed, and infants 2000g and above not requiring NICU-level care
- Utilizes phototherapy, magnesium/insulin/heparin drips, and PCA/PCEA pumps
- Charting completed in Epic
- Weekend and call requirements per unit needs
- Float required to Antepartum and L&D for candidates with fetal monitoring experience
- No floating outside scope of practice
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- Compact or Colorado RN license required
- BLS and NRP certification required
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
- Antepartum experience with fetal monitoring skills required for floating
Additional Information
- Provide couplet care for postpartum mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding support
- Navy blue scrub color required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate if residing within 75 miles of the facility
