Operations Supervisor

Operations Supervisor Transdev in San Diego, CA is hiring a reliable, proactive Operations Supervisor to oversee both dispatch and customer service functions. This position plays a key role in ensuring that transit service is delivered smoothly, customer concerns are handled efficiently, and internal teams are supported and led effectively. You will act as the senior-most authority on-site during nights, weekends, and holidays—helping to keep operations safe, on time, and passenger-focused. Compensation and Benefits Competitive compensation package of $33.00/hr. Responsibilities Supervise daily functions of the dispatch office and call center, including staff oversight and service coordination Oversee route performance, on-time metrics, and make real-time adjustments to prevent service disruptions Respond to and resolve customer complaints, missed trips, and no-shows professionally and timely Ensure accurate logging and investigation of service-related comments or issues Dispatch drivers and ensure road service coverage, especially during emergencies or unexpected vehicle failures Serve as the point of contact for senior management, MTS officials, and maintenance staff during off-peak hours Manage driver scheduling, review PTO requests, and monitor staffing levels Train, mentor, and guide dispatchers, schedulers, and reservationists Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations (MTS, ADA, etc.) Perform trip edit, fare reconciliation, and complete administrative duties as assigned Provide hands‑on support during peak periods or staffing shortages, including clerical or driver tasks if required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a dispatch or customer service environment Dispatch experience required Familiarity with Trapeze PASS or similar scheduling software preferred Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong problem‑solving, multitasking, and decision‑making abilities Experience working with people with disabilities preferred Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Indoor office environment with extended periods of computer/desk work Must be able to communicate by phone and in person Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Minimal travel required Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Transdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
