Procurement Manager - IS Location: Portsmouth Salary: £41,064 - £44,746 plus a market supplement of £2,483.04 per annum Basis: Full‑Time Contract: Permanent – Full Time Job Summary: The University of Portsmouth is seeking a strategic procurement professional to play a key role within the procurement function, driving the 2025 Strategy and 2030 Vision. Responsibilities Lead procurement activity across key category areas, primarily Information Systems (IS), with flexibility to engage other categories. Partner with senior stakeholders to identify organisational needs, develop long‑term procurement strategies, and deliver effective multi‑year procurement pipelines. Provide expert procurement advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders ensuring compliance with legislation, university regulations, and best practice. Establish and lead cross‑functional stakeholder groups, delivering procurement solutions that generate significant cost savings, operational efficiencies, and robust contractual protections. Working arrangements Hybrid working available; presence required in Portsmouth two days per week. Reduced hours (30 hours per week) considered for suitable candidates.
