Billing Specialist

We specialize in Private Label business and carry a full line of our own stock merchandise. We work with many retailers nationwide serving all channels of distribution including Mid-Tier Department Stores, Specialty Stores, Discounters and Mass Merchants. No customer is too big or too small for Gourmet Home. Our private label programs consist of many of the top retailers in the Home industry. Our vertical operations are broad, offering a wide range of selections in almost every category. Gourmet Home designs, manufactures and delivers home products from basic core items to the latest trends.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to manage our billing processes at Gourmet Home Products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating invoices, processing payments, resolving billing inquiries, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate billing while providing excellent service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and issue accurate invoices to clients on a regular schedule.
• Review billing statements for discrepancies and resolve any issues with clients promptly.
• Process customer payments and maintain updated records of transactions.
• Assist clients with billing inquiries, providing timely and effective responses.
• Maintain and update billing data and client information in the accounting system.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare reports on billing activities and account status as required.
• Support month-end closing procedures related to billing and accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency MS Office, Excel, QuickBooks , EDI and various applications.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong grasp of mathematical concepts and their practical applications.
• Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and accurate reporting.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work on-site in Manhattan, NY.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 annually, contingent upon experience and expertise.
